This is not my blog.

It's been a weird week counting down to my most hectic weekend in a while. The Scrabble tournament starts today with 8 games at roughly an hour per game followed by 4 more games tomorrow morning before I have to head off to my band concert and then on to work from there (if we have any cases - which means we likely will just because). I've been trying my best to practice words this week using various study methods but I haven't been all that good at doing that since I'm not very good at learning lists of things. I've played some Scrabble games with K-girl but I missed Scrabble Club on Tuesday due to other stuff going on. Incidentally, here is my new onyx Scrabble board that I previously blogged about with black Protiles and two marbleized tile trays that aren't pictured here. I am looking forward to using it in the tournament today. And speaking of the tournament, I spent a chunk of yesterday going through the 28 page tournament rules book trying to nail down all of the stuff that I had to be responsible for doing today and noting how it is similar or different to our club play (and how detailed the rules are). I also came up with a good t-shirt to wear in a lame attempt to psych out my competition.

It is from the last American tour of the British band Marillion that I saw in Cleveland, OH with JDB (who is a huge fan) and I guess I'm a fan as well. My ex would never let me wear it because she said it creeped her out ... which is what I'm going for today. It is from their Marbles tour and, coincidentally, MARBLES happens to also be a bingo (50 point bonus)! Okay, now I'll leave you with a movie review that I worked on this week but didn't get finished before my suicide post from yesterday. I will eventually blog about the tournament ... but I doubt it will be tonight. We'll see though.
